Look at Us

Here at Socially Acceptable, we make some of the most creative material out right now.  See for yourself by looking at all the back issues of Laborliss Magazine.  Although we’ve developed a strong following, enough people still don’t know about Laborliss.

Laborliss Magazine is a fictional lifestyle magazine from the town of Laborliss where everyone thinks they’re better than everyone else.   From their warped point of view, the magazine highlights their bizarre and egotistical lifestyle.

Check out a lot of the back issues under the Laborliss Magazine tab.

New Laborliss comes out on Monday.  Issue 27, it’s a dosey, lots of content in this once. Weed Whack Jousting Round 2.  I’ll start distributing around town over the weekend and have the pdf version up Sunday evening/Monday morning.

We’re in the process of assembling a tight little sales team so we can sell more ad space and increase our circulation.  The company and magazine are coming together…finally.

Did you guys know that Shock G and Humpty are the same person?  I don’t know how I didn’t know that.

Sex Appeal.

Fuck the portion of society that doesn’t understand.  Fuck ‘em…but in a nice classy way so they can’t come back and say we were out of line.  Lets be classy outcasts.

Laborliss is gonna move the world.

Oh, the GROWTH!

Socially Acceptable is chugging right along (I’m not sure how, but it is) and we’re looking for a few more sales people to help sell ad space in Laborliss Magazine.  The commission is 20% and the ad prices currently range from $200 to $2500.  If interested, email a resume to brandon@sociallyacceptable.org.  Right now, you’d probably have to live in the Greater Phoenix area, but hold tight, we’re going national!

R.I.P. MJ

I remember watching the Super Bowl halftime show in like 1993.  The one where Michael performed Heal the World and everybody held up a colored sign and it formed children holding hands.

Michael was electrifyingly energetic and impossible not to watch.

Peace out, Michael

As You Can See…

some things have changed.  Not really though.  I had to update the host so I had to transfer all the info, which is why things look different.  Currently, all the same material is here, I just haven’t fancied up yet.  I will though.

Ideas

If anyone out there has any ideas on how to make Laborliss bigger, please let me know.  It’s very well developed and is ready to go in almost any forum, magazine, book, TV show.  It has also built a solid following and I want to take it further.  Comment me if you do.

Thanks,

Brandon

I want you to know that… Laborliss is Magic

Without completely pontificating, can I just let everyone know how much of a challenge building Laborliss has been.  It’s like we so casually put out a monthly magazine, but I don’t think a lot of people understand that it’s just a couple dudes out of an apartment.  All kinds of problems arise, we have day jobs and other lives, but it keeps getting put out.  It keeps happening.  What the fuck are you gonna do? Laborliss is a machine.  Fuck me.

The Battle

By nature, I just like working.  Watching things grow, accomplishments, doing stuff all get me excited.  But I’ve been doing more normal people stuff lately, like hanging out and stuff.  It’s cool to strike the balance,  it’s challenging, but rewarding.

What’s Up With All This?

One of the things I’m most excited about is the growth of the magazine and of Socially Acceptable.  Laborliss started in my studio apartment and has since grown to be a magazine that does a distribtution of 10,000.

Altough I wanted it to, I didn’t really think that things were going to actually grow.   Not that we’re super huge or anything but things have come a little ways.

We’ll see what happens but the sky is the limit, bitches!
