I don’t have that…but I have this

Sunday, October 26th, 2008 | Uncategorized | No Comments

Sometimes I wish I wasn’t born with a hyperactive imagination.  Life would be so much easier.  Ever since I have dealt with money, a large portion of my disposable income has gone to my projects.  The gratification I receive from them is beyond words, but the lifestyle it brings is less than desirable.  Like any other trying time, unless you’re in it, you may not understand.  During these times, I can understand why people choose to go a more traveled path.  Going to college, then getting a secure job brings all of life’s necessities and then some.  An education, financial security, acceptance from the mainstream, praise from your parents and family, a comfortable routine, friends, dating.

A person can work their ass off at an artistic project and get nothing.  That’s difficult.  Thousands of hours and dollars into something that may never even happen.  But you continue cause it makes you feel good, because it’s how you express your unique self, because you are that, because without it you’d have no reason to do anything else.  It’s why you wake in the morning (or afternoon).  You can get mad at it, you can stop doing it for a while, you can say you’re going to quit, but you can’t.  You can curse it cause you own it.  It’s you, it’s yours.  Your friends who truly know you will snicker when they say you’re going to quit, cause they know you can’t.  It’s automatic.

Those who don’t get you will tell you to do something else, but those people come and go, but your creativity never leaves you.  It’s with you forever.  The power to do it and pursue is a gift a select and special few have been given.

It Shouldn’t Be This Hard

Saturday, October 25th, 2008 | Uncategorized | No Comments

Meeting new people shouldn’t be as difficult as it is. Have you been out there in the field? It’s insanity. In a social setting such as a bar, human beings should be able to approach each other, introduce themselves, converse, then determine if the relationship should continue.

Why is it like this? Is it the combination of too many douche baggy guys and bitchy girls?

Most people go out to meet people, yet a lot of times, we leave the social spot feeling unfulfilled. This needs to be altered.

Analyze the surroundings of a bar and you’ll pick up on the people who want to be talked to and the people being talked to who don’t want to be talked to.

As a guy, a lot of times I won’t approach a girl just because there’s some dude already talking to her, even if she doesn’t seem very interested in him.

Douchy guys make girls bitches and bitchy girls keep the good guys away. What a fucked up cycle. Make it STOP! WE’RE ALL JUST HUMAN BEINGS TRYING TO GET OUR NEEDS MET!

White Powder

Friday, October 24th, 2008 | Uncategorized | No Comments

Various banks around the U.S., including the FDIC, have received threatening letters that have white powder in the envelopes. The letters say something like, “take a bunch of people’s money and expect no repercussions?” The government wants to punish those responsible. But why?

Fuck the people who fucked up the economy. The government is going to throw the book at some crazy dude sending letters enclosed with white powder, which isn’t even harmful, but let the CEOs who caused this mess walk away with millions?

Sometime during all this economic mess, the CEOs who caused this debauchery racked up nearly a $500,000 bill at a California spa, but the guy in Amarillo, Texas writing silly little notes should be punished? Riiiight.

Sexual Productivity

Wednesday, October 22nd, 2008 | Uncategorized | No Comments

It has been proven, over the course of history, that human beings are capable of anything. When we’re born, if healthy, we’re physical balls of energy and life, literally able to do anything we want. Yet for some reason people grow up to be “average.” Why? What prevents a human being from “living out their dreams”?

A lot of people can come off trapped, unhappy, uptight. Why? What goes wrong? Where do they get sidetracked?

Check this theory: Sexual feelings. Sexual feelings may be the strongest feelings human beings have. Sexual feelings keep the world revolving.

Think about school before puberty. It was way different, no drama, everyone got along, then boom, once the hormones hit, everything changed.

Sexual feelings can be so strong they can prevent us from living our lives to the fullest. Do you know someone who isn’t living to their fullest potential because they’re in a shitty relationship, cause they spend too much time, money, and energy at the bar trying to get laid, or cause they let their sex of choice run their life?

Imagine how differnt the world would be sexual feelings didn’t have a huge control over everyone.

Appropriate Feelings

Thursday, October 16th, 2008 | Uncategorized | No Comments

If you really stop and think about it, we’re all just a bunch of human beings trying to get our needs met. The world, society, the people around us all try to yank us in directions that benefit them. That’s why it’s natural to get a little depressed once in a while. Life can be hard. It can feel like you have no one who cares, like you are working all the time but aren’t being properly rewarded, like you have to work for everything you have. But that’s normal.

Leave Joe Outta This!

Thursday, October 16th, 2008 | Uncategorized | No Comments

Did the presidential candidates ever think that maybe Joe is a private person who doesn’t want to be used as an example?  This Joe character sounds like a good, hardworking guy who just wants to pay his bills by fixing toilets then watch some TV.  I highly doubt he wants people arguing about what he needs.  Leave him alone!

Anything

I really dislike people who say from cozy, secure land that anything is possible if you put your mind to it, but they’re right. If you try as hard as you can at something, it’ll happen. It just will. Maybe not exactly how you wanted it to, but it will come.

And the Attention Goes To…

Monday, October 13th, 2008 | Uncategorized | No Comments

In our society, people who do less get more attention. The current financial situation is a prime example. I don’t wish bankruptcy or foreclosure on anyone, it’d be a very scary predicament, but there’s a good chance they’ll get bailed out or helped in some manner, which is good for them, but what about all the people who live within their means and don’t rack up debt we can’t afford? Why do we even have to endure a shitty economy, low interest rates, and every media outlet pouring out apocalyptic negativity? There’s a lot of people who didn’t do anything wrong, yet are being hurt because of all this.

There was definitely a lot of deceit from the lenders and I don’t want to sound insensitive to those affected, but a lot of people had nothing to do with this mess.

Sometimes it can feel so unrewarding to go to work, pay your bills, and avoid dramatic events, yet if you do dumb things that set you back, someone is always there to comfort you, console you, and make you feel like everything will be alright.

There’s a lot of people who make responsible choices and do well enough to make it on their own, but aren’t making enough to live super comfortable. So why aren’t they the ones who receive more, instead of the ones who do dumb stuff?

What does this tell people? Don’t apply yourself, make idiotic choices and someone will always be there with a safety net. A safety net a responsible person supplied for you.

But hey, attention feels good, we all need a bit.
